Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber: Understand the Supposed "Rivalry" Between Two Celebrities

Fans believe and suppose that Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber have an existent rivalry between each other, along with an online controversy, because of the past relationship Selena had with the current fiancee of Hailey’s, Justin Bieber. Approximately 3 weeks ago, Selena Gomez disclosed her over-laminated brows, by stating in the platform that she “accidentally laminated her eyebrows too much". A day after, Hailey Bieber appeared online with a screenshot of her and Kylie Jenner on a facetime call, where they seemed to be criticising Selena by showing their eyebrows up close in the post and mockingly stating "this was an accident?". Along with this situation, fans believe that the instagram story was a response for Selena Gomez’s tiktok.

The drama then continued, and the media audience started to gather more “evidence”, making people believe the situation was real. Later, Gomez posted a photo on her instagram account of herself wearing a necklace with the initial "B" on it, which many fans interpreted as reference to Justin Bieber's last name. Then, Hailey Bieber posted a photo on her own Instagram account of herself wearing a familiar necklace, with the initial "B" as well. The Drama continued for one month, and fans on social media remained digging for information from the past 10 years, to try to find details that would entertain the media.

As the fans were strengthening the drama, people began to believe that Hailey Bieber would have a past "obsession" with Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s relationship, and moreover, fans began to find claims of Hailey copying Selena. However, they are largely speculative and have not yet been confirmed by either party. Yet, fans pointed out similarities be

tween both women's fashion choices and social media posts.

Some of these similarities were that Hailey Bieber's fashion choices and hairstyles have been similar to those of Gomez in the past. For instance, both have been wearing similar oversized jackets and hoop earrings. Some of them have also suggested that Hailey's social media posts have been inspired by Gomez. A very common similarity is that the tattoo both artists have are located in the same place, with the same font letter, and similar writing. A video was also recently leaked, where Justin Bieber and Gomez appear in their relationship though the year of 2013, and hidden by the side, fans were able to identify Hailey Bieber with a supposed "jealous face".

Looking for an end to all this negativity between Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez, both artists posted messages after seeing each other’s instagram stories. In summation of these media posts, both celebrities have informed their audience that no rivalry is existent between them to, looking forward to more positive and peaceful comments in Hailey Bieber's Instagram posts, since she states that she was receiving death threats by her audience.
